How migration works

  1. Sign up and request

    Buy a plan, then submit a migration request from your dashboard with your current domain and provider.

  2. Share access securely

    Upload a backup or give temporary access in the encrypted credentials field. Never in a normal message.

  3. We copy and configure

    Our team moves files and the database, adjusts settings and checks everything on a temporary address.

  4. You switch DNS

    When you are happy, change the DNS records we give you. SSL is issued and your site is live with us.

What we need from you

  • The domain of the website to move
  • Your current hosting provider's name
  • Website type: WordPress, other PHP or static HTML
  • A backup file, or temporary control panel / FTP and database access
  • Your preferred migration date, if any

How we handle your passwords

Migration credentials are stored encrypted, shown only to the team member doing your migration, and deleted when the migration is marked complete. Please never paste passwords into ordinary support messages or emails.

  • Fixing bugs that already exist in the website code
  • Moving email accounts (we will advise you on email before the move)
  • Websites larger than your plan's storage limit (we will tell you first)

Migration questions

How does free migration work?

After you sign up, submit a migration request from your dashboard with details of your current website. Our team copies your files and database to your new hosting, checks that it works, and tells you when to switch your domain. One website migration is included in the Starter plan.

Will my website go offline during migration?

We copy your website first and test it on our server. Your old website keeps running until you change the DNS to point to us, so downtime is kept to a minimum.

Is my old hosting password safe with you?

Yes. Migration credentials are stored encrypted, only shown to the staff member doing your migration, and deleted once the migration is complete. Please never send passwords inside normal support messages.
