This policy explains what happens to your website files, databases and account records when a hosting service expires, is suspended or is cancelled. We never delete customer data automatically just because a payment is a few days late.
Active services
While your service is active, your files and databases stay on the server and you have full access to them. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
After the expiry date
| Stage | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Reminders | Before expiry | We email renewal reminders. The service keeps running. |
| Grace period | Expiry + 7 days | The service keeps running and the renewal invoice can still be paid. |
| Suspension | After the grace period | Websites and control panel access are paused. Files and databases are kept. Paying the renewal invoice reactivates the service. |
| Deletion warning | At least 14 days before deletion | We email you to say that data will be deleted unless the service is renewed. |
| Deletion | 30 days after suspension | Website files, databases and the hosting account are permanently deleted. |
Timelines may be extended by us but never shortened without telling you in advance.
Cancelled services
If you cancel, your service runs until the end of the paid period. After that it follows the suspension and deletion timeline above, so you have time to download your data.
Account and billing records
Invoices, payment references and basic account details are kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law, even after your hosting is deleted. Support tickets are kept for as long as your account exists.
Migration credentials
Passwords you give us for a website migration are stored encrypted and deleted when the migration is marked complete.
Requesting earlier deletion
You can ask us to delete your hosting data and account earlier by emailing support@myhostvault.com from your account email address. We will confirm before deleting anything, because deletion cannot be undone.
