This Privacy Policy explains what information MyHostVault collects when you use our website and hosting services, how we use it and how we protect it. We keep this policy short and in plain language.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: full name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Billing details: your orders, invoices and payment references. We never see or store your full card number, UPI PIN or bank password. Payments are processed by our payment gateway.
- Support content: messages you send through tickets, the contact form or migration requests.
- Migration credentials, if you share them for a migration. These are stored encrypted, shown only to the staff member doing the migration and deleted afterwards.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs with IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, used for security and troubleshooting.
- Essential cookies needed for login sessions and security (for example, CSRF protection). We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To create and manage your account and hosting services.
- To process payments, send invoices and renewal reminders.
- To answer support requests and perform migrations you ask for.
- To keep our systems secure and prevent abuse.
- To send important service emails. We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers we need to run the business, such as our payment gateway (to process your payment), our email delivery provider (to send service emails) and our server/infrastructure provider. We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
Where your data is stored
Our business application and your hosting account are stored on servers we rent from an infrastructure provider. We will state the data centre location in your dashboard and update this page if it changes.
How long we keep it
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for the period required by tax and accounting law. Our Data Retention Policy explains how long website data is kept after a service ends.
Your rights
You can view and update your account details at any time in your dashboard. You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@myhostvault.com. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords, encrypted storage for sensitive data, access controls and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your own password and keep your website software updated.
Changes
We will post any changes here and show the date of the last update. For important changes we will also email you.
