This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what is and is not allowed on MyHostVault hosting. Because our servers are shared, one customer's behaviour can affect everyone. These rules protect all our customers.
You may not use our services to
- Host, share or link to content that is illegal under Indian law or the law of the country where it is accessed.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or run mailing lists without proper consent.
- Host phishing pages, malware, viruses, or tools designed to attack other systems.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property.
- Host adult content, gambling services or material that promotes violence or hatred.
- Run cryptocurrency mining, proxy/VPN services, torrent trackers, game servers, IRC bots or similar always-on, resource-heavy processes.
- Use the hosting mainly as file storage, backup storage or a media streaming/download service.
- Attempt to access other customers' accounts, files or databases, or to bypass our security or resource limits.
- Resell hosting accounts without a written agreement with us.
Fair use of resources
Shared hosting is designed for websites. Scripts that use excessive CPU, memory or disk I/O for long periods, or send very high volumes of email, are not suitable for shared hosting. If your account affects other customers, we will contact you first wherever possible. If the impact is severe, we may limit or suspend the account immediately and then contact you.
Security of your website
You are responsible for keeping your website software (such as WordPress, plugins and themes) updated and for using strong passwords. If your website is hacked and starts harming others, we may suspend it until it is cleaned. We will help you understand what happened wherever we can.
Reporting abuse
If you believe a website hosted with us breaks this policy, email support@myhostvault.com with the website address and details.
Consequences
Breaking this policy may lead to a warning, suspension or termination of your service, depending on how serious the issue is. Where we terminate a service for serious abuse, no refund is given.
